On 15th August, 2013, Seven new district were created:-

DISTRICT (Total District - 33)	Aravalli (Split from Sabarkantha) Botad (Split from Ahmedabad & Bhavnagar) Chhota Udaipur (Split from Vadodara) Devbhumi Dwarka (Split from Jamnagar) Mahisagar (Split from Kheda & Panchmahal) Morbi (Split from Rajkot, Surendranagar & Jamnagar) Gir Somnath (Split from Junagadh)
